Savedra N. Scott, CPA, CGMA, CrFA, is the President of Savvy Financial Solutions, Inc., a role she’s had since November 2011, where she offers accounting and bookkeeping services to small businesses locally and virtual services nationally. Savedra is most passionate about easing her clients’ mind when it comes to all things accounting. She particularly enjoys helping them feel less overwhelmed with their books by communicating with them in a way they can easily understand, resulting in the client feeling more confident about their business.
Savedra is a Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor, a member of Maryland Association CPA, a member of AICPA, a member of Woodard Alliance, and a member of Maryland Nonprofits. Some of her recent projects include completing a QuickBooks® Online setup for a nonprofit, where she eliminated the paper in their organization by migrating the accounting system and moving to an online bill-pay service provider. She also found a $20,000 error in an accrued retirement plan due to funds not being remitted and re-organized a property management company’s books by moving them to QuickBooks® Online and automating their transactions.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from American University, a Master of Accountancy from George Washington University, and a Master of Business Administration from Frostburg University. When Savedra’s not working, she loves to read, spend time her with family and dog, and learn new things.
